Objectives

The Objectives, in concrete terms of Society for Education, Village Action and Improvement (SEVAI) are

• The goal is the Reduction of Poverty and the Economic Growth through improved food security at household level on sustainable and adapted bases by increasing food availability, food access and food utilization in targeted areas.
• Integrated village community development with attention to the smallest and the poorest of the poor.
• Promotion of cooperation among persons, organisations and Government in view of building strong villages.
• Research and dissemination of information about villages, their economy, culture, social life and ethos.
• To create a better living environment and atmosphere through self help housing, sanitation, drinking water and other infrastructure facilities as a Package approach.
• To undertake educational projects like pre-primary, primary, higher and inclusive education, non-formal and continuing education.
• To promote appropriate cost-effective rural technologies and skills for socio-economic upliftment.
• To promote socio-cultural values to develop local culture and talents for community harmony.
• To Up-lift and empower the vulnerable groups – women and children, handicapped and needy community.
• To ensure rights of children, women, socially and physically challenged and disaster affected.
• To promote sustainable development through education, health, livelihood, disaster relief and rehabilitation, de-addiction and community organization activities.
• To promote gender equity and promote socio-economic betterment of women through the development of community based organizations and federating them in collaboration with Governmental and other organizations.
